The Arts and Music Fest, Sonic Temple, is finally returning back to Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio! This event will take place on Memorial Day weekend (May 25-28) after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic!
This is Sonic Temples biggest lineup yet making its comeback one of the most anticipated events of the 2023 festival season.
The lineup will include headliners, Tool, Avenged Sevenfold, Kiss, And Foo Fighters, along with other performances by Godsmack, Beartooth, Bullet For My Valentine, Bad Omens, Queens of the Stone Age, Chevelle, I Prevail, Knocked Loose, Sleeping with Sirens, Falling in Reverse, Trivium, Black Veil Brides, Sublime with Rome, The Pretty Reckless, Nothing More, Grandson, and more!
The event marks the third festival date featuring the Foo Fighters to be announced, marking the band’s first major performances since the tragic passing last March of drummer Taylor Hawkins. The group has not yet announced who will fill in for Hawkins but maybe it will remain a mystery for a show time surprise.
Other than Welcome to Rockville the weekend before, as of now this will be one of Avenged Sevenfold's first performances since 2018! “We’ve always enjoyed playing Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus and are excited to be a part of this year’s Sonic Temple,” said A7X singer M. Shadows in a statement. “It’ll be a blast to share the stage with Tool, Foo Fighters and others, we can’t wait to see and play for all of our amazing fans again.”
Sully Erna of Godsmack has stated that the band's tenth studio album, Lighting Up The Sky, will be the band’s final work. Having toured the world for the last three decades and selling millions of chart topping albums and singles. Sully stated, "And it's because it's emotional, man. This is the last record we're ever gonna do. This is the last run around the mill for us. We put every single ounce of energy and emotion into this album.” This doesn't necessarily mean the band is down with performing and touring, but this will be their last music release… ever!
