So What?! Music Festival Reveals Lineup For 2023

It’s been a huge week for festival and tour announcements and So What?! Fest has just joined the excitement! The lineup for So What?! Fest 2023 has been announced and will feature headliners The Used, Pierce the Veil, Sleeping With Sirens and Thursday (putting on a special performance of their War All The Time album). It will also feature Neckdeep, Escape The Fate, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Scary Kids Scaring, Upon a Burning Body, Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows, and More! This two-day festival is set to take place on June 24 and 25 at Dallas' Fair Park in Dallas, Texas.

In addition to Thursday's special performance, fans will also get a Breathe Carolina throwback live set, get to see the return of Maylene & the Sons of Disaster, and reunion sets from Woe, Is Me, The Color Morale, Forever the Sickest Kids, and Head Automatic.

Founded by Mike Ziemer and Orlando Mendoza, So What?! first launched in 2008, blending pop-punk, rock, and metal.

Since their start, So What?! has grown to become Texas’ fastest growing festival of this kind, with past headliners including Simple Plan, Trippie Redd, 100 Gecs, Rae Sremmurd, and Underoath.

So What?! has a reputation for being the first to introduce the festival world to artists like G-Eazy before he was recognized by mainstream festivals. This makes the fest all the more exciting because fans have the chance to see many different rising artists. Along with the more Rock and Hardcore artist, this fest will feature hip-hop acts including Oliver Francis, Jasiah, Lil Darkie and Freddie Dredd, a long with rising acts Sxmpra, WHOKILLEDXIX, Nascar Aloe and Haarper

This marks the 15th year for So What?! music festival and this year's edition will be managed under Disco Punk, which is a new partnership between Third String Entertainment and Disco Donnie Presents. Ziemer says this year’s festival will feel more focused than the 2022 edition. In 2023, So What?! will feature fewer than 100 acts, which is roughly three times fewer than last year, and span over three stages instead of last year’s seven. “We kind of went nuts last year because COVID had us taking a few years off from the festival and we sort of felt compelled to make up for lost time by trying to go as big as possible,” he says. “In the end, we hurt our event because of short sets, too many scheduling conflicts, too many stages, etc. This year we are back to our core of what makes the festival special to our fans. We always did three stages…and people loved the easy ability to rotate between the three and catch as many acts as possible.”
