Poet the Band has just announced Part 2 of their “Prologue Tour” with support from NDGO! This run kicks off on October 17th in Lafayette, Louisiana, heads over to the West Coast for a few California dates, before coming back to the East and concluding in Memphis, Tennessee! NDGO joined Poet the Band for a couple of dates on their first part of the “Prologue Tour”, but this time they’ll be on the whole tour (minus a couple of select dates)!
Poet the Band, describing themselves as “Pop-Metal,” has created high-energy anthems with emotional depth, appealing to fans of various genres including alt-rock, metal, and pop-punk. Not only do they write and perform their own music, but they also produce, direct, and edit their own music videos, and book their own tours! Poet the Band prides themselves on their DIY ethos. They said on their Spotify, “Our latest track, “Weightless”, was born from a period of intense personal reflection, inspired by the realization that our internal battles shape who we are and contribute to our growth. The song embodies the cathartic release of acknowledging and embracing these struggles, making it a deeply personal and universally related anthem. Through our music we aim to connect with listeners on a profound level, offering both solace and strength in the face of adversity. Join us on this journey as we continue to push the boundaries of alt-rock and pop-punk, delivering powerful anthems that speak to the heart and soul.”
NDGO (pronounced Indigo) is a Pop/Rock group out of South Texas. This group combines influences from 90’s pop, R&B, and hard rock to create a unique sound that I personally hadn’t heard before. NDGO more or less found me back in 2021. This was back when I first started diving into music and researching bands. I was super into bands like VRSTY and Slaves (now Rain City Drive). NDGO had sent me a message on Instagram one day, and I remember just being so excited over that because they were the first band to ever DM me. The first song of theirs I listened to was “Empty Room” and I just instantly fell in love with them. That one DM really started a chain reaction for me and way more interested in music and supporting the smaller bands! They just released their latest single, “Trippin’ On You”, last month on July 26th!
