Blue Ridge Rock Festival Is Set to Make History in 2023 With Stacked Lineup

Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023

After weeks of artist announcements and a few delays because of “last minute curveballs,” the full lineup for Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023 is finally here! Rather than releasing the lineup all at once, Blue Ridge releases artisit day by day for months! It’s like an advent calendar and it’s so exciting to check back on their socials every day and be like, “No way, they’re going to be playing there, too!?” It really builds up the anticipation and excitement for us fans and for me personally gets me more invested in this fest waiting for the next announcement! If you're part of the “Blue Ridge Rock Festival Fan Zone” on Facebook, you’ve had the opportunity throughout the year to guess who the next artist announcement was with Todd Stone's hints!

Blue Ridge Rock Festival is about to make history this September with this STACKED lineup! Headliners include Five Finger Death Punch, Slipknot, Shinedown and Pantera, with other artist including Limp Bizkit, Evanescence, Till Lindeman, Staind, Megadeth, Papa Roach, Lamb of God, Rise Against, Three Days Grace, Chevelle, Pierce the Veil, I Prevail (returning for the fourth year in a row!), Parkway Drive, Motionless in White, Beartooth, Flyleaf, Bad Omens, Lorna Shore, Knocked Loose, The Ghost Inside, Asking Alexandria, Spiritbox, Sleep Token, Suicidal Tenedencies, Avatar, Sleeping With Sirens, Of Mice & Men, Slaughter To Prevail, Atreyu, Dayseeker, Rain City Drive, and SO many more! With a lineup as stacked as this, theres guaranteed to no dull moments!

This years fest will hold many reunions and some unique experiences that you can only see at Blue Ridge. The newly reformed Pantera is now composed of core members Philip Anselmo and Rex Brown joined by Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society) and Charlie Benante (Anthrax). This isn’t a “reunion” of Pantera, because there is no reunion without Vinnie and Dime, but it is a way to honor the brothers and bring back Pantera’s music to the fans! Parkway Drive will be bringing their iconic full pyrotechnic performance and so far, Blue Ridge is the only place you can see this in America! Till Lindemann, frontman of Rammstein, will also be having an exclusive US performance. Danzig is performing his self-titled album and Attila is performing “About That Life” in it’s entirety. Job For A Cowboy and Who, is Me are having reunions and Hanabie and Patient Sixty-Seven are making their US debut. Theres still one mystery reunion artist to still be announced. I have a feeling it’s Blessthefall because of some hints Blue Ridge has been droping but we’ll have to wait until the end of May to find out!

If you know me personally, you know I never stop talking about Blue Ridge!

I will always find some way to relate any conversations to Blue Ridge. The last two years that I’ve attended were some of the best days of my life! So many memories and friendships were made and I discovered so many of my now favorite bands. Yes, Blue Ridge isn’t perfect by any means, but what festival is? It has its quirks but looking back, I really don’t have anything to complain about or anything that tainted my experience whatsoever (except maybe Hayhill but we’re not gonna talk about that).

What I love most about Blue Ridge though, is the fans vote on EVERYTHING! From artists to experiences, to vendors, pricing, and amenities, the people get to call the shots. The festival organizer understood the problems that have occurred in previous years and instead of just brushing it off like it didn’t happen, they came back and asked the people what they would want changed or added. Obviously not everyones going to get what they want but they do a damn good job at making sure the majority is taking care of! One of the biggest things from last year wasn that goddamn Hayhill. Festival organizers have reconized that Hayhill was not a fan favorite and are working on a different layout. Last year was the first time Blue Ridge took place at VIRginia international Raceway so I totally understand the growing pains of a new venue but, hopefully this means Hayhill will not be making a return this year!

The Club Experience will be coming back to this year's fest! This event is held on-site after the Main Festival and provides you with concerts from 90’s/2000’s Hip Hop-Rap legends, many of which have had ties to the Rock & Metal Community. This year will have the biggest lineup the Club Experience has had yet! This years lineup includes headliners Flo Rida, Three 6 Mafia, and 2 Chainz, with supporting artist Vanilla Ice, Insane Clown Posse, Soulja Boy, DJ Showtime, and Project Pat. The Club Experience takes place from 11pm – 2am on the Thursday-Saturday nights of the Festival. You must have a 3 or 4 Day Festival Pass and be a Camper in order to purchase a Club Experience Pass. This year will be the lowest the Club Experience prices have been yet so that it’s affordable for all fest-goers!
