Are you ready for some serious goth shit? This Fall, the classic dark and romantic season, Black Veil Brides and Ville Valo are teaming up for a massive North American co-headlining tour! BVB & VV are known for their darkly romantic yet heavy music so this tour, which also features special guests Dark Divine, promises to bring something very unique to the scene. Presented by Hot Topic, the tour kicks off on September 10th in Louisville, KY, hitting 31 different cities before closing out on October 20th in Riverside, CA.
Black Veil Brides was first conceptualization with a gothic vision in a small town by an isolated kid fascinated with death, rock, theatricality, and monsters (both real and imagined). Black Veil Brides has now created a postmodern heavy metal foundation with a fan base of like-minded people and supporters worldwide. Their 2021 release, The Phantom Tomorrow, gave BVB their first Top 10 single, “Scarlet Cross.” Last year’s The Mourning EP gave them similar success with “Saviour II,” joining a stacked catalog that includes “Knives and Pens” (which has over 160 million views on YouTube), the certified gold “Fallen Angels,” and the recently certified platinum “In the End.” Black Veil Brides is continuing to promote The Phantom Tomorrow as well as their EP The Mourning and it’s possible they may even release another brand-new song in the not-too-distant future.
“We cannot wait to join forces with Ville Valo and give both of our audiences in North America an unforgettable experience each night,” says Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack. “This run has been in the works for quite a while. We couldn't be happier now that we can finally share the news. Ville is an icon. We have all been fans of his not only for his work in the hugely influential band HIM but as a torchbearer for an entire generation of rock fans and musicians.”
After years of fronting HIM, Ville Valo returned to the scene earlier this year with a solo album, Neon Noir. HIM, renowned as one of the most commercially successful Finnish bands of all time, has sold over ten million records. Ville Valo, the band’s frontman, released a series of albums with HIM from 1997 through 2013, boasting influential modern goth-rock anthems like “Right Here in My Arms,” “Join Me in Death,” “Buried Alive by Love,” and “Rip Out the Wings of a Butterfly.” Valo spoke about his new solo album, “It is a continuation of what I’ve done in the past and what might happen next.”
If you're the type of person that celebrates Halloween all year round, like me, then Dark Divine is your band.
Whether it’s a horror movie, a haunted house, or something that captures its essence, darkness has a way of pulling us in and Dark Divine has mastered the art of capturing it. With the release of their EP, Halloweentown, they have already gained early support from Sirius XM’s Octane and have had their songs regularly playing especially around their title track, “Halloweentown.” Dark Divine just recently signed with Thriller Records and has released a couple of new singles, “Drown” and “Dancing Dead,” under them.
Tickets to the tour are available now via presale with additional presales running throughout the week ahead of the general on sale beginning Friday, June 2 at LiveNation.com. For more information on the presales visit BlackVeilBrides.net.
